Join us at The Rockfield Centre in the centre of Oban for a free, fun event exploring how local marine researchers from 鶹ӰԺuse space technology to study the ocean and monitor its health.
Find out how the scientists use satellites to investigate the distribution of animals and plants, measure changes in temperature and sea level, or map the distribution of sea ice and icebergs in Arctic shipping areas. Explore how satellites help them communicate with their growing fleet of scientific robots and find out how algae may help astronauts on space missions live more independently in space.
Thursday 21 November 10 am - 3.30 pm
Saturday 23 November 10 am - 3.30 pm
Mon 18th, Tue 19th, Wed 20th and Fri 22 November - morning and afternoon sessions available

The event was made possible by a grant from the UK Space Agency and the Natural Environment Research Council to the Association for Science and Discovery Centres that the Ocean Explorer Centre is a member of.
